New Service for Season 2018/19...

After taking an enforced break for much of the current season, I am now looking forward again and will be operating a new service for the 2018/19 Scottish season.

It will be much like the successful service of previous seasons with regular updates delivered via mail and full previews written with all of our advice.

You are able to see several examples of my work from previous years on this blog so if you are interested to join the service for next season, please get in touch for pricing costs and further details as numbers will be limited due to odds movement. Time For Jags To Step Up...

Another busy midweek in Scotland. We are involved in one game in the premiership tonight and I can share my thoughts below...

Partick Thistle vs Motherwell
Advice: PARTICK +0 at 1.86 Pinnacle (1.70+)
Siding with a team in such bad form is not something I would always recommend but it's now very much a case of now or never for Thistle. Slightly adrift at the bottom of the table, home matches are huge for them and a defeat tonight would be a huge huge blow. They lost 5 against Killie on Saturday but as I have said before, I don't believe they are a poor football side and their luck should turn soon.

They will surely fancy this tonight against a Motherwell side missing arguably their two best players in top scorer Louis Moult and midfielder Chris Cadden who went off injured at the weekend. The Jags have a good record against Motherwell at Firhill and this has a feeling of them grinding out what could prove to be a very important 3 points tonight. Value on the draw no bet line at 1.70+ for me.

No Mistake From Queens Tonight...

Very good times lately and we are currently hammering the lower and youth divisions. 10 of our last 12 bets have won with 1 push and just 1 loss. The youth leagues in particular have been very rewarding for us this season so far.

We have already had one youth win today (over 3.5 in ross county vs motherwell which finished 4-3) and I expect another youth investment tonight. I can't post them on the blog due to market limits however. I am able to post one preview for tonight and it's the cup replay between QOS and Montrose.

Scottish Cup Replay

Queen of the South vs Montrose
Advice: QUEEN OF THE SOUTH -1.75 at 2.00 Pinnacle (1.78+)
These sides fought out a 0-0 draw in Montrose at the weekend and we now have a replay this evening to see who will face Partick in the next round. Queens are two divisions above Montrose but the game at the weekend was rather scrappy on the artificial surface. Montrose have started the season very well in league two losing just 2 of their opening 12 matches but there is no doubt this is a huge step up in class for them especially away from home. Queens haven't lost in their last 8 games and have kept clean sheets in 5 of those matches. Back in Dumfries tonight, I expect Queens to have too much for the visitors. We also have to take into account this is a midweek match and the travel time for the visitors is around 3 hours which is very tough for a part time side playing midweek. Queens are better in every position and if the application is spot on tonight the full time side should make no mistake for the second time in a few days. I expect a comfortable home win and I'm happy to take the -1.75 line.

Scotland Lower Divisions - Saturday Value...

My good form continued midweek with our 2 youth investments both winning without any fuss. I have 3 investments today, 2 of which I have posted on the blog for you to see below.

Scotland League One
Queens Park vs Arbroath
Advice: ARBROATH -0.5 at 1.83 Pinnacle (1.70+)
These two sides have been struggling lately but for me, there is clear value on the visitors today. Queens did very well to survive in this division last season with their status as an amateur club and this could well be the year they drop back down to the 4th tier as they are already at the bottom of the table with just 2 wins in 12 games. They have lost their last 2 games heavily against Stranraer and Alloa without scoring and their injury problems continue to haunt them as Ciaran Summers is the latest to join the list. I thought Arbroath were unlucky to lose 4-1 at home to Ayr last week. Despite the scoreline, they were actually the better side for most of the match and the scoreline was definitely harsh on them. I am willing to over look that and we have already seen they are a very good side when they click as they have won matches 5-1, 6-2 and 7-1 in the last few months. The large pitch at Hampden will suit their attacking style and they should have far too much for Queens here.

Scotland League Two
Clyde vs Stirling
Advice: OVER 3.5 Goals at 2.23 Pinnacle (2.06+)
The first match between these sides earlier in the campaign produced 5 goals with Clyde edging it that day and I predict another entertaining game this afternoon. Clyde were pre season favs for the title but find themselves just 4 points above the bottom of the table going into this game. Defensively they concede far too many goals conceding 26 goals in 12 games. Scoring isn't a problem for them and they have excellent firepower with ex Dundee United man David Goodwillie leading the line. Stirling have been brilliant this season so far and sit at the top of the table. They are the divisions highest scorers but have kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 8 games. I have seen both of these sides on a few occasions in the last 12 months and this season, nothing has changed when Clyde are involved. This screams goals to me and we should see plenty of chances at both ends. The over 3 line is a very safe option but I'm willing to take the chance on the over 3.5 line at very juicy odds.

League One: Arbroath vs Ayr United...

No problem at all on Celtic -1.5 as the Bhoys ran riot in Perth to beat St Johnstone 4-0. They are in a league of their own domestically and I really thought that price was generous today. A good start to the afternoon.

Our next advice for today comes in league one at Gayfield as Arbroath host Ayr United.

Two sides I have been very impressed with this season and both teams have been excellent going forward. The key for me here is United missing a few key defensive players and with the firepower of both teams and the way both are playing lately, I can't see this being a dull match. For me, the line should be 3.25 at least here and the over 3 line looks a very safe investment.

League One
Arbroath vs Ayr United
Advice: OVER 3 Goals at 1.91 Sbobet

Anything above 1.76 is value for me on this line.

Celtic can turn on the style in Perth...

The early kick off today is St Johnstone vs Celtic at McDiarmid Park. Celtic come into this off the back of a very impressive showing against Bayern Munich midweek. St Johnstone have not won in 5 games now and remain without a few key players.

The Bhoys start with the same 11 that started against the German Giants and with a chance to break their own 100 year domestic record, I expect them to turn on the style against a Saints side that is really struggling.

More bets will be available on the blog later today.

St Johnstone vs Celtic
Advice: CELTIC -1.5 at 1.80 Sbobet

Back in business...

I haven't been able to update the blog for quite some time now. I have been busy with other adventures but we are now back to full work on the Scottish divisions. The new season is already a few months old.

So far it has mostly been a watching brief from me over many games and much of my main focus now is aimed towards the lower divisions in Scotland and the youth league where we have a huge edge on the markets betting the early odds.

Keep an eye out for some previews on the blog in the coming weekes as we are now back in full business, and I will look to start by posting some information later for the matches tomorrow in Scotland so do check back. If you are interested to get in touch with me, please feel free to email me.

Sunday: Scottish Cup Edinburgh Derby...

I very rarely have time to post anything on here anymore but the email service is still running as normal. We have an investment in the big match today which is the Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle. See our full preview below...

Sunday Scottish Cup

Hearts vs Hibernian
Advice: HEARTS -0.25 at 1.90 Sbobet (1.80+)
This is a bet I really really like today and despite this falling from 1.98, I still think there is value available at 1.80+. Hearts have been going through a transitional period in the last few months and the appointment of new manager Ian Cathro surprised many. To be honest, I wasn't sure about him at first, it was his first job in management and some of his post match interviews were rather difficult to watch. However, things have improved for the Jambos in the last few weeks as they have hammered Rangers 4-1 at home and won 3-0 at Motherwell and both games they played some excellent football. Cathro made quite a few signings in the January window but all of them are now starting to look the part in fairness and the addition of forward Esma Goncalves is one I like very much. I remember his contribution for St Mirren when they won the League cup a few years ago and he comes to Hearts having scored 8 goals in 19 games for Anorthosis in Cyprus last season. He has already scored 2 goals in 2 games for Hearts and his presence up top will cause problems for Hibs today. Struna at the back and Malaury Martin who plays just behind the front line, also look like great additions even at this early stage and both have so much experience playing across Europe, this derby shouldn't faze them too much today. Hearts can also welcome back Arnoud Djoum into midfield after he recently won the African Nations with Cameroon. I have been very impressed with the way Hearts have clicked lately and the fact they have got over that poor spell suggests that Cathro may well be leading them in the correct direction after all. Hibs sit top of the Championship and they haven't lost in their last 9 games. This will be the year they gain promotion barring a miracle but I do still think their current squad is a little bit off this Hearts side. Going forward they do have plenty of options but defensively, they haven't really improved for me and it's in this area I expect the match to swing today with the likes of Goncalves and Martin proving too strong for a Hibs back line that I don't think is quite top six Premiership standard. For me, this price on Hearts is far too generous and I do rate their side a good bit better than Hibs right now. They come into this having scored 7 goals in their last 2 games whereas Hibs could only manage a 1-1 draw at home to Ayr United. Impossible to ignore the home side on the -0.25 line today and I make it excellent value at 1.80+.

Kilmarnock vs Falkirk : Play Off Final...

Another very easy win yesterday with 5 goals in the cup final meaning the over 2.5 advice was never in any danger.

I wasn't going to be involved in this today but having had a proper look at the game I do feel there is value on offer. This is the final game of the 2015/16 season in Scotland so let's hope we can end it with a win.

Scottish Premiership Play Off Final 2nd Leg

Kilmarnock vs Falkirk
Advice: KILMARNOCK -0.25 at 2.05 Sbobet (1.96+)

Falkirk won the first leg of this game 1-0 on Thursday night scoring with what was the final kick of the ball. To be honest, they got very lucky as I felt over the 90 minutes, Kilmarnock probably just edged it. They certainly created the better chances and should have had a penalty kick in the first half. However, we have spoke about this Falkirk side recently and one of their greatest attributes is never knowing when they are beaten. They have lost just 1 game in the last 3 months and wins over Hibs and Rangers certainly show they are a good side.

I do think they are riding their luck a little though and I also thought they had the run of the ball with them in both legs of the play off semi against Hibs. Saying that, we cannot say anything bad about their attitude and if Kilmarnock are not at their very best today they will be playing Championship football next season. It will be interesting to see how Peter Houston lines up here as they obviously have a 1 goal advantage. I would expect them to play on the counter and Killie should be the side pressing from the start.

Will Falkirk play 2 up front again here with McHugh partnering Baird or will Houston play a little more cautiously? Key front man Josh Magennis missed out for Killie on Thursday meaning Boyd played up top alone so it will be key to see if Josh returns for this crucial game today and I would expect Kilmarnock to go with 2 up top. Let's wait for line ups....

Kilmarnock: MacDonald; Taylor, Addison, Ashcroft, Hodson; Obadeyi, Dicker, Kiltie, Slater; Magennis, Boyd

Falkirk: Rogers; Leahy, Muirhead, McCracken, Vaulks; Watson, Sibbald, Kerr, Taiwo; McHugh, Baird

Good news for Kilmarnock with Josh Magennis returning and he certainly gives them a physical presence up top alongside Boyd. McKenzie and O'Hara drop out from Thursday and it looks a decent Killie side for me.

The only change for Falkirk from Thursday is that Blair Alston misses out in midfied and Tom Taiwo replaces him there.

I can't get away from Kilmarnock at the prices on offer here. Falkirk have been on an incredible run lately but I just get the feeling that has to stop at some point and certainly in their recent games, they haven't played too well despite getting results. I think having Magennis alongside Boyd again is a huge plus for Kilmarnock and they will create chances again as we seen on Thursday. It may well be tight and cagey at times but I have to give the edge to the home side here at the prices and Killie -0.25 is value at 1.96+ for me. For me, Killie can win this today but I wouldn't be surprised by a narrow victory and if this even went all the way to extra time.... all we care about of course is the 90 minutes!

Scottish Cup Final Advice/Preview...

Rangers play Hibs in what is our final preview of the 15/16 season and we are involved in the match. I am able to share our preview below....

Scottish Cup Final

Rangers vs Hibernian
Advice: OVER 2.5 Goals at 1.88 Sbobet (1.76+)
Straight away, this was my thinking on this game if the price was ok and I am actually quite surprised to see us being offered the price that is available. Rangers obviously won the league a few weeks back and will be playing Premiership football again next season. Hibs missed out having lost 3-2 to Falkirk in the dying seconds just last weekend. It remains to be seen if they have got over that disappointment yet but with this being a cup final, you would expect them to be right up for it. I think there is a lot of pressure on Hibs today. They have never won this trophy and with what looked like a very promising season 3 months ago could turn into one to forget should they go on to lose what will be their 2nd cup final this season. Rangers definitely switched off after winning the league. They have had 3 weeks to prepare for this game whereas Hibs have been on the go pretty consistently. I do think both teams will feel like they can really win this today and I am expecting goals. Rangers under Mark Warburton only play one way and that is to be very attacking using the flanks with their full backs pushing high up. This has worked for them very well but defensively it does mean they are still vulnerable and they do concede a lot of sloppy goals. Defensive midfielder Dom Ball is missing for Rangers today and he will be missed in front of the back four. Up front, top goalscorer Martyn Waghorn is ready to return though. For Hibs, there are no major problems and it will be interesting to see if James Keatings continues up front with Stokes having scored their 2 goals last weekend. It means top scorer Jason Cummings will miss out but the Hibees do have plenty of firepower when going forward. Games between these sides this season have been very very open (apart from a 1-0 Rangers win in August). 4 out of the 5 matches have had 22 goals. The way I see both teams setting up and playing today means we should be in for another very open match with chances at both ends. I don't think either will sit back and both know they are capable of beating each other going with previous results this season. This should be a very entertaining cup final and the over line is priced very nicely in my book.
